The company Socoferros, Lda, is established, with headquarters at Estrada Nacional 1, nº10, 2815 Sobreda da Caparica.
1978
December 26th
The company José Francisco Rita, Lda. is established with headquarters at Rua de Moçambique, 2nd, 2430 Marinha Grande.
1981
October 22
The purchase of the company by new shareholders is registered, maintaining the line of business.
1984
February 10th
The change of the company name to Ferrus is recorded, as is the change of the company's headquarters to the Vale Sepal Industrial Zone, in Leiria.
1992
December 30th
Transformation of Ferrus into a public limited company and increase in share capital to 120 thousand contos.
1995
May
Ferrus, SA acquires 70% of the share capital of Socoferros, Lda.
2004
January 1st
Ferrus, SA acquires the entirety of Socoferros, Lda, and now operates in 3 different locations: Leiria, Marinha Grande and Sobreda da Caparica.
2010

The shareholder structure changes, making Ferrus , SA part of the SolidInvest SGPS group , which has been growing since 2007 and is characterized by strong economic and financial strength. Much of the group 's revenue is generated internationally, including in the EU (Spain and France), Africa (Morocco and Angola), China, and the USA.

In search of new business segments, the company begins to sell stainless steel.

Opening of the Ansião delegation, becoming , due to its size, the main location for supplying and producing some items.

Opening of the Abrantes branch office. Since then, Ferrus, SA has had branches in Ansião, Leiria, Sobreda, and Abrantes.

Expansion of the facilities of the Ferrus, S. A. delegation in Ansião, introducing new, more technological and innovative features in the production and transformation of Iron, Aluminum and Stainless Steel.
